Nature Observation: The Subjective Experience of a Tree
Today, I asked a leaf if it remembered what it was like to be a seed. I thought about how a leaf is an open invitation to the sun. An effortless part of the tree, a part of the seed before it grew. Already mapped in the seed, was the leaf.
I see a yet to be manifested canopy of dream leaf silhouettes, waiting inside the seed of a tree.

The Good, the True, the Beautiful
Life is composed of these three elements, often intertwined in immeasurable detail, never to be known by the human eye, but more felt by the human heart.
We find ourselves in the middle of the Good, the True and Beautiful every waking, sleeping, dreaming and whole dang solar system moment.
The GOOD describes the ethical and moral underpinnings that give our lives meaning.
The TRUE lets us know that rational thinking is important; there are truths in which proof is undeniable. Critical thinking and the sciences comprise ways of knowing what is true.
The BEAUTIFUL, God, love, art, your beloved, children, grandchildren, animals, Sequoia trees, rivers, Moroccan food…
